An Infusion of Flavor

Just last week, Erika told us about a nifty little kitchen accessory that no twenty-something should be without.  Well, keeping with the trend, I wanted to share my new favorite kitchen gadget.

It’s a Fruit Infusion Pitcher, and it’s available for $19.99 at your local Bed Bath & Beyond.

Simply slice up the fruit or vegetables of your choice–lemons, raspberries, cucumbers, and oranges all work well–and put them in the inner tube of the pitcher.  Fill up the pitcher with water and you’re on your way to a seriously delicious refreshment.

The flavor is subtle but refreshing, and adds a nice twist to the usually bland drink.  Refill the pitcher with water regularly, while the directions suggest only replacing the fruit about every week or so.  However, I prefer to replace the fruit a little more often (about 2 or 3 times a week) in order to keep it tasting “fresh.”

Want something a little more “exciting” than water?  Product reviews on the Bed Bath & Beyond suggest filling the pitcher with iced tea, lemonade or (my favorite suggestion) sangria!
