Please excuse our appearance while we undergo some minor renovations! 🙂
Meet the writers:
~Billy Bowden is an undergraduate at the University of Rhode Island, where he is studying English/Comparative Literature, and hopes to pursue either his master’s degree in education, and teach in an urban setting, or complete his doctorate studies in literature, and work to become a professor in a tough job market. Billy has dabbled in journalism throughout his life, writing for the South County Independent, The Valley Breeze Observer, and URI’s newspaper The Good Five Cent Cigar. Writing is his greatest passion, but his other passions are his friends, and family that he tries to remind constantly how much they mean to him. Did I mention that he likes to
read? He also likes sports, working out, and blogging both on this site, and his personal site http://www.withyourmorningcoffee.com
~Taylor Gomes is a recent graduate of Salve Regina University, where she majored in Communications and minored in Sports Management. After graduation, Taylor worked seasonally at Lincoln Woods State Park with Brittni! (Both of them secretly wish that could last forever.) Currently Taylor is still employed at Old Navy as a sales associate while she applies for every job imaginable. Taylor loves everything involving public relations, events, and social media. On her downtime, she loves to binge watch TV shows on Netflix, pin tasty desserts and entrees on Pinterest, and watch makeup tutorials on YouTube. She also loves to jam out in her car to some of her favorite artists including: The Lumineers, Lorde, The Maine, and Blink-182. Taylor is also a HUGE Bruins fan, but she doesn’t discriminate and loves all the New England sports teams. Make sure to follow Taylor on Twitter to learn about her latest Netflix obsession @tay_rae and follow her Instagram to see her selfies and food porn @tayyyrae.
~Roxanne Jones is celebrating two years at her first “big girl” job as a communications/digital media coordinator for a national trade association. While most jobs frown upon people checking their Facebooks at work, Roxanne is paid to be immersed in all things social and digital media She’s still living at home in Glen Rock, PA with her 3 adult roomates, (a.k.a. her mom and two older brothers), and she absolutely loves it. Roxanne is a Baltimore girl at heart and is obsessed with the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, and more recently the Philadelphia 76ers. The older she gets, the more she appreciates sleeping in on the weekends and taking naps. While she doesn’t drink nearly as much as she did in college, Roxanne still enjoys getting brews with her brothers at their favorite bar, drinking a relaxing bottle of wine after a long week, and going out on the town with her girls. Roxanne graduated in 2011 from Shippensburg University with her BA in Communications and is grateful to be fulfilling her passion for writing. You can find her driving her grey Scion tC since she’s always on the go—living over an hour away from her job, boyfriend, and most of her friends. Get to know her on Twitter @_Roooxanne.
~Lauren Kordalski is a junior at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. As a Jersey girl at heart, Lauren misses salt bagels and “the shore” while at school, but she’s loving getting to know New England and all of its quirks. Lauren is a communication major with psychology and business administration minors, with hobbies including reading (a long-time love), writing, going out with friends, shopping for sport, drinking wine, daydreaming about her future life in Paris, and watching mindless marathon TV. Dawson’s Creek, Girls, How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill, and Workaholics are just a few of the TV shows she’s had love affairs with over the past few years. Lauren is the Variety Editor for Bryant’s newspaper, The Archway, and loves writing, especially about fashion, travel, books, and being happy. She recently discovered a new appreciation for fun and the outdoors as secretary of Bryant’s Outdoor Adventure Club. Join Lauren’s fun journey and follow her on Twitter and Instagram @Laurenkor.
Meet the designer:
~Leah Saccocio is the Graphic Designer and mastermind behind the TwentyTweets logo and brand image. She currently works as a Freelance Graphic Artist and loves college so much, that she decided to take on a fifth year to complete a double major in Marketing and Graphic Design at Roger Williams University. Don’t ask her what she wants to do in life because it changes day by day; one day she dreams of becoming an astronaut, and the next she loves the thought of becoming a corporate designer. Criticizing bad typography and using negative space are just a few of her design specialties. Outside of the creative world, Leah loves celebrity gossip, The Wedding Date, Third Eye Blind, and Star Wars (some people joke about her secret obsession with Princess Leia).
