Slowly…Back away…From the Christmas cookies. The gingerbread men and their cronies who stealthily escaped their untimely deaths this holiday season are most likely still lingering in your kitchen. While it might seem like a good idea to continue indulging yourself, it might throw your healthy New Year’s plan off track. Instead of morphing into the Cookie Monster, take a minute to try this interesting recipe I found from my not-so-secret lover Pinterest.
I could spend hours pinning, but even this gets a little obsessive. Once I found this recipe, I decided it was time to get off my butt and start one of my resolutions. It’s easy to make and it is WAY better than it looks, I promise.
What you’ll need:
- 2 handfuls of baby spinach
- 1 apple
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 5 strawberries
- ½ orange
What you do:
- Blend away in your favorite blender 🙂
It’s simple, tasty, and will give you that extra boost of energy you’ll need before you hit the gym. When I blended mine, it didn’t come out as green as the photo, but surprisingly like a strawberry-banana smoothie (and it tasted like one, too!)
