The Soundtrack of TwentyTweets: Gym Time, Baby

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Although today isn’t necessarily the best or most sought after day of the week, it’s certainly better than Monday and just one step closer to Friday. So why not celebrate the fact that you’re going to look hot as hell this weekend by working off that large latte you drank this morning (or one of those St. Patrick’s Day donuts from Dunkin…that I myself am craving incessantly) by hitting the gym with some bangin’ new tunes?

The TwentyTweets staff has compiled a random array of songs that we like to sweat to the beat of at the gym. Whether it means doing some hardcore cardio or getting huge in the weight room, these songs will most definitely give you the boost you need to succeed. I can guarantee you that your next workout, whether it’s today or next year, will be perfected by these jams!

(The songs are separated by play list creator :))

Mike:

Call Of Me – Eric Prydz
Diary Of Jane – Breaking Benjamin
For You – Staind
Superman – Eminem
Till’ I Collapse – Eminem
Break Stuff – Limp Bizkit
John – Lil Wayne
Gotta Have It – Jay-Z Ft. Kanye West
Calling – Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso
Take Over Control – Afrojack

Erika: (She admits this playlist is rather odd, but says that it’s set to a certain length because she hates looking at the clock on her machine. The songs change weekly, but as of this week, this is her list, including cool down songs at the end.)

Jesses Girl – Rick Springfield
DJ Got Us Fallin in Love – Usher
Super Bass – Nicki Minaj
Black and Yellow – Wiz Khalifa
She Will – Lil Wayne
Moves Like Jagger – Maroon 5
We Found Love – Rihanna
See You Again – Miley Cyrus
Sexy and I Know It – LMFAO
Somebody to Love Remix – Usher
Keep Your Head Up – Andy Grammar
If It’s Love – Train

Brittni: (My list is rather extensive and I have constant song A.D.D. while I’m trekking away on my favorite Arc Trainer machine, but here are my current favorites. The faster, more techno-y, or just straight up crazy works best for me. )

Set Fire to the Rain (Highnoone & Parle Remix)- Adele
Pursuit of Happiness (Steve Aoki Remix)- Kid Cudi
Lights (Bassnectar Remix)- Ellie Goulding
Levels (Skrillex Remix)- Avicii
Good Good Night- Roscoe Dash
Red Nation- The Game ft Lil Wayne
Dirty Talk- Wynter Gordon ft David Guetta
Who’s That Chick- David Guetta ft Rihanna
We Found Love- Rihanna
Crazy Bitch- Buckcherry
Lights Out- Yung Cam
Faded- Yung Cam
Miss Me- Drake

Katy: (She included some screen shots of her iPhone, how cool!)

Jenna: Our resident fashion guru actually doesn’t listen to music when she works out (how couture of her). I know, weird, right? Just kidding! πŸ™‚ She says, “I only watch TV–it’s one of the only ways I don’t get completely bored and think, ‘F-this.’Β  However, when I run outside, I listen to Pandora radio or aΒ Ke$ha/Katy Perry play list.”

You can find many (if not all) of these songs on either iTunes or other song purchasing sites. Some websites (like my favorite techno sharing site WhiteFolksGetCrunk.com) even offer free downloads, but always be sure to practice safe downloading. You wouldn’t want to get in trouble! πŸ™‚

So what do you guys listen to? Let us know @20sTweet. I know we’d all be dying to give some new songs a try when we hit the gym next! πŸ™‚
