In honor of the (literally) record-breaking temperatures in Southern New England yesterday, my GF’s and I decided to try out a new strawberry margarita recipe. We made a few minor changes to the recipe that we found online and they were DELISH! To make these tasty drinks, you will need:
- 5 fl oz. of Tequila
- 2 fl. oz. of Triple Sec
- 5 fl. oz. of frozen limeade juice (we used Bacardi’s own Margarita lime mixer)
- 8 oz. of frozen strawberries with syrup (we used fresh frozen strawberries and Bacardi’s own Strawberry daiquiri mixer)
- 1 lime to garnish
- Blender full of ice
Crush the ice in the blender (HINT: Only crush about 1/4 of the ice at a time. This was the only trouble that we had with this recipe because the ice kept getting stuck at the bottom). Add the tequila, triple sec, frozen juices, frozen strawberries, and blend for about 30-45 seconds. Use the sliced lime to trace the outer edge of each glass, cover the edge in sugar, pour the drinks, and enjoy!
