Drizzy’s Back in Canada for the 2012 NHL All-Star Game

In honor of me, myself, and I (Erika and Jenna aren’t the biggest hockey or Drake fans), I’m proud to announce that my favorite Canadian crooner will be returning to his home country to perform at the 2012 NHL All-Star game. This year’s All-Star game will be held in Ottawa, Ontario (only a stone’s throw away from its capital and Drake’s hometown of Toronto) on Jan. 29th at 4 p.m. There’s really not much else to say about this except that it’s AWESOME.

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the main point of the program and that’s some talented and exciting hockey. According to bleacherreport.com, the following players will be lacing up their skates and hitting the ice in this year’s game:

Forwards: Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks; Tyler Seguin, Boston Bruins; Jason Pominville, Buffalo Sabres; Jarome Iginla, Calgary Flames; Marian Hossa, Chicago Blackhawks; Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks; Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks; Jamie Benn, Dallas Stars; Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings; Mikko Koivu, Minnesota Wil; John Tavares, New York Islanders; Marian Gaborik, New York Rangers; Claude Giroux, Philadelphia Flyers; Evgeni Malkin, Pittsburgh Penguins; Logan Couture, San Jose Sharks; Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning; Phil Kessel, Toronto Maple Leafs; Joffrey Lupul, Toronto Maple Leafs (A); Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks; Henrik Sedin, Vancouver Canucks; Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals; Jason Spezza, Ottawa Senators (Fan Vote); Daniel Alfredsson, Ottawa Senators (Fan Vote) (C); Milan Michalek, Ottawa Senators (Fan Vote)

Goaltenders: Jimmy Howard, Detroit Red Wings; Jonathan Quick, Los Angeles Kings; Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens; Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers (A); Brian Elliott, St. Louis Blues; Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins (Fan Vote)

12 Rookies: Luke Adam, Buffalo Sabres; Justin Faulk, Carolina Hurricanes; Gabriel Landeskog, Colorado Avalanche; Ryan Johansen, Columbus Blue Jackets; Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Edmonton Oilers; Craig Smith, Nashville Predators; Adam Henrique, New Jersey Devils; Adam Larsson, New Jersey Devils; Colin Greening, Ottawa Senators; Sean Couturier, Philadelphia Flyers; Matt Read, Philadelphia Flyers; Cody Hodgson, Vancouver Canucks

(C) = Captain; (A) = Assistant Captain

How many of my TwentyTweeters will be watching the game this weekend? And be honest… if you’re watching just to see Drizzy, it’s okay. Luckily enough for me, I have a sick obsession with him AND with men on skates. Tweet @20sTweet with your thoughts. I’m dying to hear them!
