Okay, I did it! I finally traded in my crackberry for the new iPhone 4S. After dealing with daily reboots, frozen apps, and the annoyance of BBM… It’s over. It’s been less than 12 hours with my new phone and I’m already answering people more via text because the obligation of having to answer a BBM is over. Freedom!
Let’s face it: this switch was going to happen sooner or later. I replaced my MP3 player with an iPod Nano years ago; my old, Dell labtop suffered a painful death and was quickly replaced by my Macbook Pro; and finally, my out-of-date, pain in the ass blackberry is GONE. Let me tell you, as someone who suffers from many technological difficulties, it’s such a relief to have a set of reliable electronics. As materialistic this may sound, I’ve learned that you just can’t take shortcuts when buying electronics. Apple products may cost a pretty penny, but the updates, support, and reliability are definitely worth it.
I still have a bit of learning to do… But Siri‘s leading the way. I’m excited to start using the 8 megapixels camera, Facetime, and all the other cool features. Now if I could only figure out how to put it on silent, push it aside, and get back to work…
